Hiscox names AIG's Budd as group head of technical claims

Aug 14 - (The Insurer) - Global specialty insurer Hiscox has appointed Matthew Budd to the newly created role of group head of technical claims.

In his new role, Budd will be responsible for overseeing the group’s technical claims operations.

He will be based in London and report to Steve Parry, group claims director.

With a 36-year-long career in claims, Budd was most recently the global head of aerospace claims at AIG. Prior to that, he held a range of roles at Talbot Underwriting, including the head of claims and head of wordings and contracts and delegated authorities. Before that, he was the aviation claims manager at XL London Market.
