Bridge Specialty appoints Chhajer as CEO of Acorn and director at Capstone

Aug 14 - (The Insurer) - Brown & Brown Europe's wholesale and specialty brokerage group Bridge Specialty International (BSI) has appointed Abhishek Chhajer as CEO of Singapore-based Acorn International Network and director at Hong Kong-based Capstone Insurance Brokers.
He assumed the roles on August 1.
Co-founder David Ong has stepped down as CEO of Acorn International Network and is set to assume the role of chairman.
Based in Singapore, Chhajer will lead the growth and development of BSI across Asia from the two existing platforms in Singapore and Hong Kong.
With 25 years of experience in the banking and insurance sectors, he was previously global head of credit, political risks and surety solutions at Price Forbes. He has also worked at Ed, Markel International, Willis and Marsh, among others.
A licensed insurance broker regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Acorn International Network was acquired by BSI in October 2024.
Capstone, a licensed insurance broker regulated by the Insurance Authority of Hong Kong, was acquired by BSI in April 2022.
