BRASILIA, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Brazil's government will send a bill to Congress requesting that 9.5 billion reais ($1.76 billion) in spending under its aid package for companies hit by steeper U.S. tariffs be excluded from the country's fiscal target, an official said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press conference, the finance ministry executive secretary, Dario Durigan, said the amount includes 4.5 billion reais in contributions to government funds overseen by state lenders, and another 5 billion reais in tax relief for exporters through 2026 under the "Reintegra" program.
