Aon names Mehmet Shukri UK reinsurance client services head

Aug 13 - (The Insurer) – Aon has appointed Mehmet Shukri as head of UK client services for its Reinsurance Solutions business, the global insurance broker said on Wednesday.
Shukri, who has more than three decades of experience in the reinsurance market, was previously deputy head of UK claims and client services.
He would report to Steve Clark, Aon’s global head of claims and client services advocacy, the broker said.
“Our clients are placing increasing importance on claims and accounting services, for good reason,” said Leonora Siccardi, Aon’s chief claims officer for Reinsurance Solutions.
The broker last month reported organic growth of 6% for the second quarter. The Reinsurance Solutions saw double-digit increases in insurance-linked securities and facultative placements.
