Aug 13 - (The Insurer) - Cyber insurtech Resilience has appointed Michelle Worrall to the newly-created role of global director of insurance product.
In her new role, Worrall will be responsible for expanding Resilience's insurance products in order to tailor solutions to the changing cyber risk landscape, said the company in a statement to Cyber Risk Insurer confirming the move.
Based in Chicago, Worrall reports to chief underwriting officer Maria Long.
She joins Resilience following two and a half years at Coalition, where she served as cyber product counsel.
Prior to this, Worrall was assistant vice president and cyber product specialist at Zurich North America. Earlier in her career, she co-founded a media liability managing general underwriting agency.
With experience in insurance law and coverage analysis across cyber, tech E&O and media liability, Resilience said Worrall's new role will support the company's approach to contract language in order to provide clarity, remove "confusing and costly contradictions", and enable faster, clearer claims processing.
The appointment follows several senior leadership changes at Resilience in recent weeks, with Cyber Risk Insurer exclusively reporting earlier this month that James Riviezzo had been named head of North American distribution and strategy.
Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of Resilience's broker network strategy, Riviezzo joined from At-Bay.
The Insurer was also the first to report last month that Resilience had parted ways with chief financial officer Johnny Botros after more than three-and-a-half years.
