Aug 13 - (The Insurer) - Antares Syndicate 1274 has reported a net combined ratio of 96.3% for the first half of 2025, the syndicate said on Wednesday.
This was a deterioration of 8.6 percentage points on the net combined ratio of 87.7% it disclosed for H1 2024.
The syndicate reported a UK GAAP profit of $42 million for the first half of 2025, up from the $41 million figure for the prior year period. Mark Graham, Antares at Lloyd's CEO, said this was ahead of its planned profit target.
Gross written premiums of $369 million were a 16.4% increase on the prior year period's $317 million.
“Despite experiencing two large events, Californian Wildfires and the deterioration of Russian Aviation War losses, the syndicate has demonstrated notable resilience in its financial performance,” Graham said.
