Aug 13 - (The Insurer) - UK insurance services firm Davies has promoted Richard Barke as CEO of its insurance solutions division.
Steve Crabb, who was previously the CEO of the insurance unit, has been appointed as deputy chairman of the business.
He will focus on organically growing the division, particularly across the U.S. and beyond.
In his new role, Barke will be supervising operations and shaping the division’s growth strategy, alongside advancing the firm’s investment in technology.
He was previously the chief financial officer at Davies-owned Asta, and was succeeded by Stuart Logue in June.
Barke, who has over 20 years of experience in the industry, has held several leadership roles at Asta and Davies Insurance Solutions. He has also worked at AIG, Aspen Re, KPMG, among others.
The news follows the appointment of BMS Group's James Ferris as CEO of its captive management business in July. Mike Heard was also promoted to president of operations of Davies' North American business in the same month.
