U.S. 100% tariff plan on semiconductors 'devastating' for Philippines, industry association says

MANILA, Aug 7 (Reuters) - A United States plan to impose 100% tariffs on semiconductors would be "devastating" for the Philippines, an industry leader said on Thursday.
The president of the Philippine semiconductor industry Dan Lachica said that around 70% of the country's exports are semiconductors.
