BEIJING, July 28 (Reuters) - China's foreign ministry on Monday urged Japan to act more prudently on Taiwan-related issues, following a recent visit to Japan by Taiwan's Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung.
China has made strong protest to the Japanese side, Guo Jiakun, a ministry spokesperson told a regular press conference.
By allowing this so called "private trip", Japan provided a platform for separatist activities, and it sent out a gravely wrong signal, Guo said.
