BUENOS AIRES, July 18 (Reuters) - Boca Juniors' winless run in the Argentinian Clausura tournament continued on Friday, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Union at La Bombonera.
The visitors got off to a stronger start, with Lautaro Vargas and Valentin Fascendini both testing Boca's goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin in the first half.
The home side struggled to find their rhythm after the break and their frustrations deepened when Union took the lead in the 64th minute through Cristian Tarragona, who scored from Franco Fragapane's superb cross.
Substitute Leandro Paredes, back with the Argentinian giants after his time at AS Roma, helped spark Boca into life, putting in a superb centre from a corner for Lautaro Di Lollo to head home and equalise five minutes from time.
The draw, however leaves Miguel Angel Russo's team still searching for their first victory in the Clausura. They face next Atletico Tucuman on Wednesday.
