Consilium unveils UK casualty binder, appoints Browne to manage

July 16 - (The Insurer) - Aventum Group's Consilium has launched its first casualty binder within its UK division and hired Dual's Luke Browne to manage it, the broker said on Wednesday.
This exclusive binder, Consilium Risk Solutions, is backed by A-rated capacity with low minimum premium levels and extensions.
Browne, who has been appointed senior underwriter, is a specialist in underwriting liability and contractors' all risks.
He was previously senior underwriter at Dual Group.
The binder is aimed at low- and medium-risk contractors and has replaced common restrictions with responsive extensions, including efficacy, goods on hook, rip and tear, and defective workmanship. Claims from the binder will be managed in-house by Consilium's claims team.
Consilium expects to add more products to the binder later this year, including contractors' all risks, plant and property casualty, the broker said.
