BANGKOK, July 16 (Reuters) - Thailand's central bank chief said on Wednesday he is concerned that U.S. tariffs will lead to a flood of cheap imports into Thailand that will hurt local businesses.
Any measures that the government takes to address the impact of U.S. tariffs should focus on long-term adjustments, Governor Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput said, adding that any steps directed at countering transshipment will have an impact on investment and would require close review.
