ROME, July 15 (Reuters) - The United States is becoming more hawkish towards Russia and that is a good thing, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Tuesday.
"We see today a change of posture on the part of the United States and we obviously welcome that," Meloni said in a press conference in Rome with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.
Meloni also said work was continuing on trying to find a "reciprocally beneficial" trade deal between the European Union and the U.S. before an August 1 deadline.
