July 14 - Germany and the United States will make a decision about sending U.S.-made Patriot missile systems to Ukraine within days or weeks, Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said on Monday after meeting with U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth in Washington.
Pistorius also said that Germany had sent a letter of request to the U.S., asking for a potential purchase of Typhoon long-range missiles. The missiles could be a stop-gap solution, bridging the time between the temporary deployment of the U.S.-made missiles to Germany in 2026 and the time when Germany and other European nations will have developped their own long-range weapons, he said.
