July 11 - (The Insurer) - Private equity-backed broker Alkeme Insurance has acquired California-based employee benefits and insurance provider Icon Benefits and Insurance Services.
Alkeme said that the acquisition will expand its offerings and footprint in Southern California.
Icon provides employee benefits and insurance services for small and medium-sized businesses with employees up to 500.
This announcement follows Alkeme's previous acquisition of Michigan-based personal and commercial insurance agency Crawford Insurance Group in April to expand its presence in Midwest.
