Rubio says meeting with Chinese counterpart constructive, pragmatic

WASHINGTON, July 11 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a "constructive and pragmatic" discussion with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday on the sidelines of a regional summit in Malaysia, emphasizing the importance of keeping channels of communication open, the State Department said on Friday.
"They agreed to explore areas of potential cooperation, while seeking to manage differences," a department spokesperson said in a statement.
