- (The Insurer) - Former Lockton chief operating officer Said Taiym has officially joined fast-growing life and health insurance and wealth management specialist Integrity.

Late last month, The Insurer reported that Taiym was poised to join Integrity as COO.

Talking to The Insurer, Taiym said he will work to support the company’s expansion and continued improvement alongside other operational responsibilities.

Integrity, Taiym said, is focused on providing end consumers with “holistic planning and solutions for life, health and wealth”.

“It’s really around planning for the good days ahead for the millions of Americans that are not covered in these spaces,” he said.

Dallas, Texas-based Integrity was formed in 2006 and is led by co-founder and CEO Bryan Adams.

The company describes itself as “distributor of life and health insurance, and provider of innovative solutions for wealth management and retirement planning”.

It currently works with more than 600,000 agents across the U.S., with Taiym noting that over 99% of Americans are within six miles of an Integrity agent.

The company has grown quickly in the past five years, largely via acquisitions.

Integrity refers to those acquired companies as business units. And the group now comprises more than 200 business units, all of which are focused on either the life, health or wealth sectors, with eight also housing some form of P&C offering.

“This company is on a very good footing (with) great foundations. What has been built to this point is spectacular,” said Taiym.

Integrity’s new COO said part of his role is focused on improving the interconnectedness between the company’s business units.

“How to make the business better, and thinking about things such as innovation, technology, efficiency, scale and operational improvements,” he explained.

“We’ve got 200 partnerships that have joined Integrity, and how do we look at this as an overall platform in order to create a better experience not just for our agents, not just for our offices, not just for the millions of Americans we serve, but for all of the above.

“How to create that seamless experience to continue to improve in order to serve more people,” Taiym said.

“It’s not dissimilar to what I did at Lockton, which was how to bring the platform together,” he added.

In a statement, Integrity CEO Adams said throughout his career, Taiym “has repeatedly shown the ability to support large organizations by building successful systems that drive operational excellence for continued growth”.

“Said’s keen and discerning expertise will help to accelerate our innovation of insurance and financial services for all stakeholders.

“His role as COO builds upon the exceptional skillset he’s cultivated across his impressive career, while his warm personality and perceptive leadership make him a great fit within our Integrity culture,” Adams added.
