Canada removes all remaining federal exceptions to its internal free trade agreement

- The Canadian government said on Monday that it was removing all remaining federal exceptions from the internal Canadian Free Trade Agreement, eliminating 53 exceptions in place since 2017.

Most of the exceptions removed focus on procurement, which will provide Canadian businesses with more opportunities to be competitive across the country, the Canadian internal trade ministry said in a statement.
