Ventis continues UK regional push with Scottish market entry

June 25 - (The Insurer) - Real estate MGA Ventis has expanded its UK footprint with the appointment of Karen Feeney to oversee underwriting and distribution in the Scottish market.
Feeney will serve as senior development underwriter in Glasgow, reporting to Ventis CEO Gareth Roberts.
She most recently served as senior commercial underwriter at Carrolls, where she wrote a broad property book across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The expansion into Scotland follows Ventis' entry into the Irish market in September 2024 through a partnership with the Underwriting Exchange.
The distribution partnership provided access of up to 40 million euros ($46.4 million) in Ventis capacity for mid-market real estate risk.
In March, Ventis announced that it wrote 12 million pounds ($16.3 million) in gross premiums in its first full year of trading.
Ventis launched in January 2024 with support from program administrator Mission Underwriters and long-term capacity from Accelerant.
