AMSTERDAM, June 24 (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Tuesday that Iran and Israel should return to a ceasefire and de-escalate tensions in the Middle East after U.S. President Donald Trump said both sides had violated a truce in their conflict.
"I want the ceasefire to continue, and therefore, obviously, the sooner we get back to that, the better. And that's the message that I'm discussing with other leaders today," Starmer told reporters as he arrived in the Netherlands for a summit of NATO leaders.
"We need to get back to that ceasefire, which is consistent with what I've been saying about de-escalation for quite some time now."
