Everest adds former Global Atlantic CEO Levine to board

June 23 - (The Insurer) - Bermuda-based (re)insurer Everest Group has appointed Allan Levine as an independent, non-executive member of its Board of Directors.
The appointment is the latest addition to Everest’s expanding board, following the recent appointments of Darryl Page and John Howard.
Levine is co-founder and executive chairman of retirement and life insurance company Global Atlantic, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of KKR, where he is a partner.
Previously, Levine was chairman and CEO of Global Atlantic. He was also CEO of Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group, where Global Atlantic was established.
Levine serves on the board of the American Council of Life Insurers, the advisory board for the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise at Columbia Business School and the board of the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club.
