NEW YORK, June 17 (Reuters) - Bank of America's private bank hired executives from JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup in an effort to grow in New York, its largest market, according to memo seen by Reuters.
BofA added Mary Chan, a former regional managing director at JPMorgan's private bank who oversaw its integration of First Republic. It also hired Chris Petro, who joined from Citigroup, where he led its metro New York region.
Both executives will report to Emily Dreas, a senior market executive at BofA's private bank.
Chan and Petro will join Jeremy Sunshine, another executive hired from JPMorgan last fall.
Bank of America's private bank had $671 billion in client balances in the first quarter and brought in almost $1 billion in revenue.
