SRG names ex-Lockton International CEO Nimmo as UK CEO

June 12 - (The Insurer) - Specialist Risk Group has named Neil Nimmo as UK CEO, the intermediary announced on Thursday.
Nimmo served as CEO and chairman of Lockton International between 2007 and 2023, before transitioning to advisor to the chairman, a position he left earlier this year.
In his new role, Nimmo will be responsible for overseeing SRG's retail, wholesale and underwriting pillars in the UK as the intermediary looks to scale its model across these channels.
Nimmo will join the operating board and group executive committee, subject to regulatory approvals.
SRG said the appointment of a UK CEO marked a "pivotal step" in expanding its leadership capabilities, following the hire of Collin Yap as Asia Pacific CEO last year.
Backed by Warburg Pincus and Temasek, SRG entered into the mainland European insurance market earlier this year through the acquisition of Ecclesia Group's assets in Belgium and the Netherlands.
