LONDON, June 11 (Reuters) - British Finance minister Rachel Reeves announced an additional 10 billion pounds ($13.49 billion) investment to build thousands more homes in England, she said on Wednesday as she set out the government's multi-year spending review.
"I am providing an additional 10 billion pounds for financial investments including to be delivered through Homes England to crowd in private investment and unlock hundreds of thousands more homes," she said.
The announcement was on top of an 39 billion-pound 10-year programme to build lower-cost housing, announced on Tuesday that nearly doubled the annual spending on affordable housing, bringing the Labour Party closer to its housebuilding target.
