- (The Insurer) - Venture capital firm Foxe Capital has hired Fifth Third Bank's head of revenue Dan Dall’Asta as general partner.

The veteran venture investor will work with managing partner Ruth Foxe Blader, who previously served as chief investment officer at Anthemis Group.

Dall’Asta will take up his post with Foxe Capital this month, after spending the last two years with Fifth Third, where had been senior vice president and head of revenue for its embedded banking division.

He joined Fifth Third following its May 2023 acquisition of embedded payments platform Rize Money, where he spent three years running revenue, operations and strategy, along with spearheading its M&A efforts.

Before Fifth Third and Rize, Dall’Asta was a founding team member of the venture capital practice at Route 66 Ventures, which backed a portfolio of more than 25 companies including DriveWealth, Ripple, Payzer, Next Capital, 8 Securities and Clearmatics.

Blader founded Foxe Capital, which focuses on both insurtech and fintech investments, in 2024.

She previously sourced and led Allianz's initial investment in Lemonade and built a portfolio of more than 50 fintech and insurtech companies.

Her notable recent investments as a sub-adviser to Anthemis include Artian AI, SimpleClosure, District Cover, Arkham, HubiFi and Burbank.

A spokesperson for Foxe Capital could not immediately be reached for comment.
