- (The Insurer) - Expansive MGA Arden Insurance Services has hired Tim Henry as chief operating officer and Brian Sheekey as chief financial officer to support its growth trajectory and focus on innovation, said the company.

In a statement, the tech-enabled MGA said Henry adds “deep expertise” in product management, operational performance improvement and strategy execution.

He was most recently senior vice president and head of property product at Farmers Insurance. He is a former principal at Bain & Company.

Sheekey was most recently CFO at GeoVera Insurance Group, a role he filled for 19 years, and was CFO at Florida’s Tower Hill Group before that.

GeoVera was the subject of a recent transaction which separated its carrier operations from its underwriting operations, which were sold to SageSure.

At GeoVera Sheekey oversaw finance, capital management and rating agency relations, also playing a central role in structuring the carrier’s cat program.

Tech-enabled MGA Arden has strengthened its executive leadership following its recent growth capital investment from private equity firm FTV Capital.

Commenting on the hires, Arden co-founder and CEO Brian Cohen said: “Adding talented executives like Tim and Brian enables us to continue our industry leading growth and innovation. It’s a real testament to what we built over the last nine years and the opportunities that lay ahead of us.”
