QBE promotes Browne to lead UK casualty underwriting

June 4 - (The Insurer) - QBE has appointed Adrian Browne as director of underwriting, UK casualty, the company announced on Wednesday.

The appointment is effective from January 1, 2026, as Anna Bennett (who has held the role for four years) is set to retire at the end of 2025.

During Bennett's tenure, QBE's UK casualty division increased GWP by 43% through significant regional growth, QBE said, with a broadened product offering.

Based in London, in his new role Browne will report to Chris Wallace, executive director of UK insurance at QBE Europe.

Browne has spent 22 years at QBE, most recently assuming the role of portfolio manager for UK casualty in April 2021.
