Howden strengthens European credit offering with Granular Investments deal

June 4 - (The Insurer) - Howden has completed the acquisition of Granular Investments Limited and Granular Investments EU SAS, bolstering its credit risk transfer capabilities in Europe, the broker said on Wednesday.

Howden said the transaction will enhance its product offerings for large financial institutions.

Founded in 2019 by Giuliano Giovannetti and Richard Sullivan, Granular Investments is an intermediary and adviser on credit risk transfer and capital relief that specialises in synthetic securitisation and single-name credit risk solutions.

Following the deal, Giovannetti and Sullivan will work closely with the global credit and political risk team and Howden's capital, advisory and placement division.
