ERS promotes Hall to managing director, Tillbrook named active underwriter

June 4 - (The Insurer) - Specialist motor insurer ERS has appointed Martin Hall as managing director with responsibility for the performance of Syndicate 218.

In his new role, which is subject to regulatory approval, Hall will report directly to IQUW group CEO Peter Bilsby.

Hall joined ERS in early 2018 as active underwriter, having previously held senior roles at Direct Line and Arthur J Gallagher International.

Scott Tillbrook, who most recently led ERS’ personal lines bespoke, commercial and agriculture portfolios, will take up Hall's former role as active underwriter.

ERS said that Tillbrook's experience in growing profitable niche and specialist classes makes him ideally placed to lead the syndicate, which currently represents more than 90% of Lloyd’s motor business.
