China will maintain close communication with Netherlands on semiconductors

BEIJING, May 23 (Reuters) - China and the Netherlands have a highly complementary and cooperative relationship in the semiconductor field, and will maintain close communication through existing channels, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Friday.
Mao Ning, a ministry spokesperson, made the remarks when asked if the Chinese authorities brought up chip export controls during talks with the Dutch foreign minister, who met with China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Thursday.
