US, Chinese officials agree on keeping lines of communication open, State Department says

May 22 (Reuters) - U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau spoke to China's Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu on Thursday and they agreed on the importance of keeping open lines of communication, the State Department said in a readout of their telephone call.
