UIB strengthens marine division with Scales as associate director

May 22 - (The Insurer) - United Insurance Brokers (UIB) has appointed Sean Scales as associate director within its marine division, the company said on Thursday.
In his new role, Scales will be responsible for driving new business and supporting the division's growth, focusing on North American cargo and stock throughput business.
UIB said the appointment is part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the North American market and enhance its capabilities.
Scales has joined UIB following nearly three years at Tysers, latterly as senior broker. He previously held roles at Besso and Aon.
