MSIG USA adds Axis Capital’s Ziegler as CFO, CAO

May 21 - (The Insurer) - MSIG USA has appointed Kent Ziegler from Axis Capital as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer.

Ziegler spent six years at Axis Capital as a global corporate controller and has held leadership roles at Allied World, JPMorgan Chase, and Gulf Insurance Group.

Ziegler will report to CEO Peter McKenna and will manage MSIG USA’s finance and administrative operations.

His responsibilities include financial reporting, acquisition strategy and integration, planning and analysis, capital strategy, investment oversight, and regulatory compliance. Ziegler will also play a role in guiding enterprise risk management, treasury operations, and supporting long-term strategic planning.

Earlier this month, MSIG USA announced that it had appointed Tony Beirne, former chief actuary at Cover Whale, as chief actuary and Dale James, former chief risk officer at Alleghany Corp, as chief risk officer.
