Rubio says US has expressed to UAE, others that they are turning conflict in Sudan into proxy war

WASHINGTON, May 20 (Reuters) - The United States has expressed to the United Arab Emirates and other countries that they are turning the conflict in Sudan into a proxy war, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Tuesday.
Rubio told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that Washington wanted to appoint a special envoy for Sudan but needed to find the right person.
