WASHINGTON, May 15 (Reuters) - The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said on Thursday it was amending a previous consent order with Wise WISEa.L, an international remittance company.
It said the order resolves claims it inaccurately advertised fees and failed to properly disclose exchange rate and other costs.
In January, the consumer watchdog ordered the company pay $450,000 to harmed consumers and pay a $2.025 million fine to the CFPB's victim relief fund.
In its amended order, according to the CFPB, Wise will pay a revised fine of approximately $45,000.
