South Korea says U.S. and China hold bilateral talks

SEOGWIPO, South Korea, May 15 (Reuters) - South Korea's trade ministry said on Thursday that U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer was holding a meeting with Chinese trade envoy Li Chenggang on the sidelines of an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference in the country.
The ministry clarified that the talks had started after an earlier comment by South Korea's Minister for Trade Cheong In-kyo said the bilateral meeting had taken place several hours earlier.
