China to provide more support to trade companies, commerce minister says

BEIJING, May 12 (Reuters) - China vowed on Monday to help trade companies expand markets and promised more support amid increasing impact from external shocks, according to a statement published by China's commerce ministry.
Commerce minister Wang Wentao made the remarks at a roundtable meeting in Beijing attended by representatives from 12 trade firms, six chambers of commerce and economic experts.
Wang said recent economic and trade talks with the U.S. had produced substantive progress and created the conditions for bridging differences and deepening cooperation between the two countries.
