Rokstone adds Bishop to UK and Ireland casualty team

May 12 - (The Insurer) - Aventum Group-owned Rokstone has appointed Matt Bishop as class underwriter for its newly launched UK and Ireland casualty division, the company said on Monday.
Bishop is the latest underwriter to join Rokstone from Convex and will link up with former colleague Lewis Goodearl, who was announced as head of the specialty MGA's new UK and Ireland casualty division last week.
The Insurer was the first to report on the launch of the division.
Bishop spent the past five years as a senior underwriter at Convex. He has 35 years of experience in casualty across the Lloyd's and London markets.
Rokstone's recent hires from Convex also include Laurence Burrows, who joined to lead U.S. excess casualty in August 2024, and his deputy Ben Baker, whose hire was announced the following month.
