US tells Israel that Hamas' freeing hostage would lead to negotiations to release more

CAIRO, May 11 (Reuters) - The United States told Israel that Hamas' freeing of the Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander would lead to negotiations for the release of more hostages, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said on Sunday.
Israel's policy is that negotiations will be conducted under fire with a continued commitment to achieving all war objectives, it added in a statement.
