May 11 (Reuters) - World Trade Organization chief Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said she was "pleased with the positive outcome" of trade talks between the U.S. and China in Geneva and urged the two nations to build on the momentum, she said in a statement on Sunday.
"I urge both nations to build on this momentum by continuing to develop practical solutions that mitigate tensions, restore predictability, and strengthen confidence in the multilateral trading system," she said.
Okonjo-Iweala said that the progress is also important for the rest of the world, including the most vulnerable economies.
