Trump says baseline tariff remains set at 10%

WASHINGTON, May 8 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the 10% baseline tariff his administration has applied to almost all countries remains set, even as his administration announced its first bilateral trade deal on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he believed 10% to be a low figure for tariffs, which is designed in part to right past abusive trading practices.
