MOSCOW, May 5 (Reuters) - The Kremlin, asked on Monday about the victory of hard-right eurosceptic George Simion in the first round of the Romanian presidential election on Sunday, said that whatever happens, one of the favourites was arbitrarily thrown out of the race.
The Kremlin was referring to Calin Georgescu, another ultranationalist candidate who won the first round of last year’s aborted election, before being banned from running over alleged Russian interference on his behalf.
