Accredited adds Greenlight Re, Scor hires across UK and Europe

May 1 - (The Insurer) - Specialty program insurer Accredited Insurance Holdings unveiled several senior hires across the UK and Europe on Thursday, including the appointment of Laure Kearns as UK chief underwriting officer.

Kearns will join Accredited in July from Greenlight Re, where she currently serves as active underwriter of Syndicate 3456.

Prior to this, she spent two and a half years as syndicate performance manager at Lloyd’s.

In addition, Jon Wood is set to join Accredited in June as head of reinsurance.

Wood most recently served as head of origination at CatX, before which he held reinsurance broking roles at Willis Re, Guy Carpenter and Aon.

Steve Pennington and Sachin Patel have also joined Accredited as chief operating officer and chief actuary, respectively, with both starting in May.

Pennington was previously at Scor, while Patel was head of reserving and capital at Premia Managing Agency Limited.
