April 24 - (The Insurer) - CelsiusPro has named Heather Martin, Caroline Smith, Simant Verma and Jinyi Zhou as the four disaster risk finance specialists joining the company from WTW alongside Jamie Pollard.
Parametric Insurer first reported earlier this month that a team of five disaster risk finance specialists from WTW were set to join CelsiusPro, including former associate director Pollard.
Now CelsiusPro's CEO Mark Rueegg has said in a LinkedIn post that Martin, Smith, Verma and Zhou were the other professionals the company has hired into its climate resilience solutions team.
"While the integration is ongoing, we are already seeing the potential to deepen our impact, helping clients navigate risk with greater confidence and build resilience where it matters most," Rueegg added.
WTW recently closed its practice focused on disaster risk finance solutions for the public sector, humanitarian organisations and NGOs, which saw some of the team leave the firm, a move first reported by Parametric Insurer in January.
Verma and Martin, previously senior associates in the WTW practice, have become disaster risk finance and insurance principals at Global Parametrics, part of the CelsiusPro Group.
Smith, previously research associate at WTW, becomes disaster risk finance and insurance associate, while former lead associate Zhou's new job title was not yet available on LinkedIn.
