- (The Insurer) – Euler ILS has appointed Alexander Loosley as head of capital formation and strategic initiatives.

In his new role, Loosley will be responsible for driving capital formation across existing and new strategies, with the aim of scaling Euler ILS's product offering and broadening the firm's presence in complementary areas of alternative investments.

He will also look to expand Euler ILS's global client base and strengthening relationships with institutional investors.

Loosley most recently served as managing director at Nomura, where he led capital market distribution across the EMEA region. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Credit Suisse, latterly as co-head of European cross-asset solutions coverage.

The brand of Euler ILS Partners Ltd was created in October last year after the team behind Credit Suisse Insurance Linked Strategies Ltd completed a management buyout to operate independently from UBS Group.

In July 2024, UBS announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to sell its 100% holding in Credit Suisse ILS to its management team led by Niklaus Hilti.
