Putin congratulates Ovechkin on breaking Gretzky NHL's all-time goals record

MOSCOW, April 7 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin on breaking the all-time National Hockey League record, the Kremlin said on Monday.
Ovechkin scored his 895th goal on Sunday to break the all-time record set by Hockey Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky that was once considered unapproachable.
