- Nissan Motor 7201.T is considering shifting some domestic production of U.S.-bound vehicles to the U.S. as early as this summer to avoid export to the country, the Nikkei reported on Saturday.

The Japanese automaker plans to reduce production at its Fukuoka factory and shift some manufacturing of its Rogue SUV to the United States to mitigate the impact of additional tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump's administration, the report said, without citing the source of its information.

Nissan's Rogue SUV, a key model in the U.S. market, is currently produced both in Fukuoka and the United States, the report said.
