US will know in weeks, not months, if Russia is serious about peace, Rubio says

BRUSSELS, April 4 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday the United States will know in a matter of weeks, not months, if Russia is serious about peace with Ukraine.

"We will know from their answers very soon whether they are serious about proceeding with real peace or whether it's a delay tactic. (If) it's a delay tactic, the president's not interested in that," he said at a press briefing in Brussels.

He added that if Russia is not serious about peace, the United States will have to reevaluate where it stands.
