Gallagher expands real estate division with Bircroft acquisition

April 3 - (The Insurer) - Gallagher has expanded its real estate practice with the acquisition of commercial insurance broker Bircroft Insurance Services.
The acquired firm focuses on the real estate sector on both a wholesale and retail basis.
Bircroft will become part of Gallagher's real estate practice within its UK and Ireland retail division, led by regional managing director Jon Phillips.
The business is based in London and has a team of around 10 led by Ian Lee and Simon Bird. Gallagher said the team will continue in their current roles post acquisition.
