Liberty Mutual promotes Korte to president of North America middle market

April 3 - (The Insurer) - Liberty Mutual has promoted Dieter Korte to president, middle market, global risk solutions, North America, reporting to GRS NA president Marc Orloff.

Korte joined Liberty Mutual in 2023 as chief underwriting officer, middle market, and has served as interim president of that group since Orloff was promoted to lead GRS NA in January.

He has more than 30 years of experience developing risk solutions for midsized companies, including roles at CNA Insurance and Chubb North America.

“We’re committed to helping midsize companies better manage the complex risks they face,” Orloff said.

“These companies have the same exposures as larger organizations but often have fewer resources and tighter margins. We add value to mid-size companies, and the agents and brokers who serve them, by helping them understand the risks they face, and the best ways to mitigate and manage those exposures.”
